"I always appreciate the personal communication that state farm offers! Instead of going through portals or waiting on hold, I can always easily email with my state farm rep and sort out whatever issue I am having. "I was very unhappy with my current insurance at another company when referred to the State Farm team. They were friendly, efficient and most of all helpful in putting together a CoOp and auto bundle that gave me the same coverage I had at a substantially better price. I would recommend them to anyone."

"I've been with Virginia Chan State farm for more than 20 years, auto and renters insurance. Always very helpful and questions or needs. Ask for something and they get to you right away! And while prices of everything else around going up, they are great, I believe my renters rate is the same I started with 20 years ago! Auto of course has changed as have gotten better cars, and added son for coverage, but still only slightly increased. Would definately recommend."

"Very impersonal and the office didn’t even monitor credit card date of expiration and my coverage was almost canceled. This office knew the card on file had expired TWO months before I got a notice of cancellation. I was able to call in a payment and maintain my coverage no thanks to this office. Might as well have an agent in the Philippines for all the personal hands on attention. And for this they got a percentage of my premiums? I’m finding another broker. I guess this office has so much business they don’t care if anyone leaves."

"I want to say this 2 star is base on the high increase, it may not seem like a lot of most ppl , but so others that working on a small budget for the type of vehicle that I have witch is on 2 wheels, it’s terrible, this increase is due to the lack of other ppl that can’t drive in New York, so they decided to bump my monthly payment to help them pay for other ppl crashes. They sent me a defensive driving course that also doesn’t work . They agent that not only went above and beyond to make a difference and understand where us other half are on a tight budget A shout out to ( Ms Jennifer , mr. James ), these agents here in State Farm needs to be on the top they are the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ But come on with these ridiculous increases , do better"

"I had the best customer service experience with this State Farm office. My call was answered quickly and then redirected to Rubi for further assistance. She was helpful, clear and even increased my coverage without increasing my total cost. 10/10 recommend State Farm!"

"It's always such a pleasure dealing with Virginia's office staff. She must put a lot of work into training everyone on customer service. I've been a client since 2011 when I purchased a homeowners policy and 4 years ago with my auto insurance. I just purchased a new car and Virginia really took the time to see where I can save a few dollars since auto insurance rates have really skyrocketed. My car purchase was a nightmare and they kept pushing back my delivery date which created more work for these guys.I hade to keep calling the office with new info and they showed such patience and understanding. I finally got word on Wed night that I could pick up my car on Friday. I emailed James on Thursday July 4 and he had the insurance cards sent to me by 845a Friday morning so I could get my car in the morning. Thanks for the great service everyone!"

"I have had a very pretty experience with this insurance, if you are looking for efficiency and quality, look to them. "A true 5-star experience with Rubi Banner. Highly recommend! I'm a law student and was looking for renter insurance for my new apartment in UES. Rubi made all of this possible within the span of 30-minutes. Rubi provided me with a range of policy options, found the best price for me as a student, and was extremely detailed while being concise. She worked quickly to secure my insurance plan was set in accordance my moving timeline. Above all, she was so nice! Working with Rubi and the office of Virginia Chan–State Farm was an exceptional experience. They put the client first and provide exemplary customer service. I would recommend Virginia and Rubi to anyone in the Upper East Side. So easy, professional, convenient, and friendly!"

"I have been a State Farm customer for a few years now. I can remember the first time I spoke to Virginia Chan when I was looking to switch insurance due to some life changing events. Right away I felt that she really listened and cared about what I was going through and also about how to go about helping me get auto insurance when most others were not willing to help. I can honestly say that I am glad that not only I was able to get insurance through State Farm at a better rate than all others but that they are always there to listen and help with any issues you might have. Virginia and her TEAM are wonderful. I highly recommend anyone looking for insurance to give this office a call, they wont regret it."

"UPDATE Nov 2023: We did purchase a vehicle in August 2022 and at the time based on my below review Shanice had helped us. Fast forward to the end of September 2023 when we were shocked to receive a letter via snail mail from State Farm saying since we did not comply with the mandatory pictures of a new vehicle for the state our policy was being revoked. No emails, no phone calls to follow up. We spent a Fri evening for 2 hours trying to get someone from State Farm to help us since we needed our vehicle that weekend for our son's sports games that were out of town. No one could help except Virginia Chan per the State Farm rep. We emailed her, they left her voice messages etc. Come that Monday we only heard from her office manager via email basically saying 'oh well'. As of November 8th 2023 we have yet to hear from Virginia. We have since changed agents. We have been with Virginia Chan since we moved to New York from Texas back in late 2018. They are very efficient and quick to respond. Recently Shanice was a huge help in getting our car insurance set up! Definitely recommend them!"

The need for a photo inspection is a New York State Requirement. You were notified by my team member Shanice at the inception of the policy of the requirement and although my office received a copy of the purchase agreement, we did not receive a copy of the window sticker. A written correspondence was also sent out in August 2022 informing you that the physical damage coverage was to be removed. To add the coverages back all that was required by State Farm was completion of a five-minute photo inspection, which my office offered to pay for. I apologize for any inconvenience and frustration and wish you the best with your next insurance company. As always, we would be delighted to welcome you back to State Farm following this unfortunate misunderstanding. Your honest feedback is appreciated. Thank you. - Virginia"
